Which? to offer Destination Retirement to help consumers plan for their future
Retirement is one of life’s most significant financial milestones, but it can also feel overwhelming and confusing. Many people worry about whether they’ll have enough money to live comfortably.
At 55, individuals can access their private pensions for the first time, often making withdrawals without fully considering the long-term impact. By 66, they become eligible for their state pension, marking another major financial shift.
Research by Which? shows that nearly a third of retirees are not entirely satisfied with how they approached retirement, often wishing they had planned earlier. Meanwhile, almost half (49%) of people who have not yet retired are unsure how much money they’ll need for a comfortable retirement, and many lack confidence that their savings will last as they navigate these major life and financial changes.
To help consumers make more informed decisions, Which? has partnered with Just Group to offer Destination Retirement. The platform combines digital planning tools with access to retirement specialists, giving people the guidance they need to plan, manage, and feel confident about their future.
Partnering to plan
Which? began our partnership with HUB Financial Solutions, part of Just Group in late 2022 because of their expertise in helping consumers make informed retirement decisions. Together, we first launched an equity release service, followed by an annuity comparison service in summer 2024, both designed to help consumers access income in retirement. Our shared commitment to clear, trustworthy guidance has made Just Group the ideal partner to expand support for our members.
Building on success
Building on this successful collaboration, we are now launching Destination Retirement, a savings and retirement planning service. The service combines digital planning tools with access to financial specialists. While retirement decisions remain some of the most challenging financial choices, this bespoke service ensures consumers can plan and manage their retirement with confidence.
